Quilting Classes - Week 1!

For years I have attempted to find somewhere that I could go to for various craft classes but have always been left to feel like I wasn't good enough for various reasons.  It seems to be an incredibly difficult circle to crack.  Thanks to my awesome friend Anne who found this awesome Sewing Machine Sales and Repairs shop in the main street of Ipswich that also offers quilting classes, I was able to start classes! With REALLY nice people!

So today I finally got to attend my first ever Quilting Class.  It was AWESOME! They were so helpful and informative and didn't make me feel stupid at all!

Below is a photo of my first 'Block' completed today.

Below is a photo of how far I got into Block 2. As you can see I haven't *entirely* completed this block yet.

They have actually given me the instructions for Block 3 but I haven't started it yet.  Although I can tell you that I can't wait to go back next weekend to see what else they have in store for me!

  1. Way to go Naomi. I am so pleased that you are enjoying your classes. You will meet a nice breed of people. Your blocks look lovely. As you know I have heaps of patchwork junk here. Good to have a family member to carry on the tradition of patchwork.

  2. Was awesome fun. It's kind of a relief not to be doing tiny fiddly work all the time! Having said that .. I'm stitching my HAED tonight cause I've neglected it for a few days.

  3. Love the colours of the first block
