Don't you hate it when you've decided you aren't happy with something .. only when you try to fix it .. you just can't quite find something that you absolutely love as it's replacement?
That's how I feel about my blog layout at the moment.
I was a little overwhelmed with the old orange template. Plus I wanted to have buttons near the top so that I can create pages so that there isn't quite so much running down the sides of the blog.
I started googling for free Blogger templates .. only to discover that a) I don't know how to upload one, and b) the button feature I said i wanted? Was right there all along.
So I've had a bit of a play around with some of the free backgrounds in Blogger and come up with one that I quite like, but I just can't get that stupid photo at the top to how I like it. And it's taken me AN AGE!
Pixelmator is NOT my friend. I'm used to using Paint Shop Pro from back in the day when I used to do some basic web sites. I can see that I am going to have to source a better program that gives me the same features, but is usable on my Macbook Pro.
Until then, don't be at all surprised if you come back to check what I'm up to and things have all changed. Again.
It's kinda like our furniture. I went through and did all that rearranging. Placing my corner over near the window and tv remember?
Do you know what Jacob spent his day doing yesterday?
Yes. That's right. Fixing it so that we can swap corners. Turns out he likes leaning on his right elbow, and I prefer to lean on my left elbow when we are doing whatever it is we're doing whilst watching tv (For me, Cross stitching. For Him, Computer, or Ipad or both!). I have an old change table from when my children were babies that now sits in the lounge room (I got the idea from my MIL's setup at her house! She has a similar trolley setup!).
Now if only my floor lamp would arrive I'd be totally set! Well .. the lamp and a boat load more stash items! :)
... Oh .. and you know how we spent like two days rearranging our desks so that I'd have better room? Guess what I want to do now? That's right, rearrange them again so that I can bring the spare table outside in .. to give me a permanent fixture for my sewing machine! But this one can wait a bit :)
