Sewing sewing sewing!

I love sewing and quilting.  I do.  But I have to say, the last couple of days it has felt like a chore!

I needed a project ready for quilting class on saturday for learning how to "Walk in the Ditch" and "Free Motion Quilt" but the quilt I was working on is too big for the neck of my machine.  So instead of having to purchase all new stuff, I chose to make something at home with my current stuff.

It sounded like an awesome idea at the time.

Here's where I'm at so far:
It doesn't look like much I know.  But that is 50 '9 block' squares made up of 2.5" squares. 50.
Tomorrows job is to figure out how I want the black sashing between them and put it all together. Ya know, between shopping, and kids to doctors, and having 7 kids in the house! :)  We have been having some of the kids friends over a lot these holidays.  Turns out they're better behaved when we have more kids? Go figure right?

On another note, I was saying it was getting a bit chilly tonight.  So Sheldon bought me my jumper.

Did I mention that THIS is Sheldon?

  1. You sound like Nana when she could do patchwork. And OMG Sheldon is so cute. Can't wait to meet him.

    1. He is adorable. When he isn't jumping on the ironing board and knocking my iron to the ground! lol. But he's an adorable, if finicky kitty! :)

I love the story about Sheldon. He's better than having a mother around!
